Description: Fostering well-being and inspiring confidence with clean, healthy spaces is a key consideration for current and prospective residents. Operations are undergoing a tremendous amount of change and an unprecedented number of novel challenges – public health guidance, labor shortage, and heightened public expectation. This session will share expertise with a focus on clean spaces that promote well-being and inspire confidence, managing public health risks and the perception of cleanliness, insights to help identify and protect against outbreaks plus other risks. The goal of this session is to provide insights on how long term care and senior living communities can improve workforce agility, build optimal operations and foster well-being and inspire confidence among residents, families and employees with clean, healthy spaces.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify science-based risk factors associated with viruses including Norovirus, Covid, and Monkeypox 
  2. Compare strategies for mitigating risks with Infection Prevention, Food & Water Safety, and Impactful Employee Training

  3. Evaluate current operations to optimize for improved labor utilization, reduced utilities & extend asset life, and chemical program standardization
