Description: Which documents does someone need to be able to manage all the tasks of caring for a loved one? The Advance Directive for Health Care and Statutory Power of Attorney empower the agent to handle specific tasks for the principal. Each of these documents apply to various situations. How do you know when to accept one versus the other? This workshop will engage the audience in determining which document the caregiver needs to complete different tasks. From signing the admission agreement to discussing medication changes, the agent needs permission from the principal for each activity. Following this workshop you will be better prepared to coordinate the various aspects of a resident’s care.
